EAA Chapter 1001 Rally Report

Batesville, Ark. – August 29, 2007– On August 18th, EAA Chapter 1001 in Batesville, Arkansas, held a Young Eagle Rally for the Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch in Independence County Arkansas. We flew 25 Young Eagles in four aircraft.

The Youth Ranch is a home for abused, neglected, or abandoned children originally incorporated through the efforts of the Arkansas' 75 county sheriffs and a number of other caring adults. More information about the ranch can be found at
www.youthranches.com.

The group picture shows the children from the ranch and their advisors. EAA Chapter 1001 members in the photo include the pilots flying that day. Paul Reynolds is standing on the left. Kneeling, from left, are Karl Kemp, Russ Amos, Nathan Higginbottom, and Bob Parman.

Submitted by EAA Chapter 1001 Young Eagles Coordinator Keith Terhune.
