Who was the first African-American woman to fly in the military?
 
Answer :
The first African-American female pilot for the US Air Force was Teresa Mae Claiborne.
She entered Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, Texas, in 1981 after graduating from California State University, Sacramento. She was an ROTC graduate of UC, Berkeley. After graduating with high honors, she spent the majority of her active duty years as a KC 135 pilot in Loring Maine. Currently she is a pilot with United Airlines.
