Ages:
“Piper Cubs” for children entering grades 2 and 3.
“Wright Flyers” for children entering grades 4 and 5.
(Age restrictions are firm and no exceptions will be made.)
Day Camp Sessions:
Week 1: June 18-22
Week 2: June 25-29
Week 3: July 9-13
Week 4: July 16-20
Week 5: August 6-10
Camp takes place from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Early arrivals can be scheduled beginning at 7:30 a.m. Late departures are available through 5:30 p.m.
Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Campers must bring a bag lunch (refrigeration available).
Fees:
EAA Members: $300 ($100 deposit)
Nonmembers: $350 ($100 deposit)
Applications must be postmarked 30 days prior to the opening date of camp session selected.
Introduction:
The EAA Aviation Day Camp provides an atmosphere for fun and learning in an aviation setting. Activities include:
- Tours of EAA's Pioneer Airport and EAA AirVenture Museum
- Tour of Wittman Control Tower
- Scavenger Hunts
- Exploration of KidVenture Gallery
- Hands on aviation projects
- Science lessons on flight
- Wooden wing rib construction
- Challenge activities
- Pre-flights
- The chance to sit in the pilot's seat of a real airplane
