Wisconsin
Teen Passes FAA Written Exam
Tyler Stargardt, 16, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed his
private pilot written exam on April 19 after completing the
Sporty's Next Step online program. Tyler enrolled in the free
Sporty's online course in January, soloed in March, and is
hoping to earn his private certificate on his 17th birthday
this June. His parents aren't pilots but support his desire to
be a pilot, and he has also received support and encouragement
from EAA Chapter 992. He is learning to fly at Marshfield
Airport and is shown here with his flight instructor, Dave
Wells, on the day of his first solo. |
